SSL Certificate Request

Important Information

ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION STEPS ARE REQUIRED FOR CERTIFICATES ISSUED OR RENEWED AFTER 9/24/14.

Certificates installed after 9/24/2014 require both the signed certificate and TWO new intermediate certificates be installed. For more information, see http://go.illinois.edu/incommon.

Steps Required

Use this form to request an SSL certificate (new, renewal or reissue). As of January 18, 2011, SSL Certificate prices are $38 for new requests and renewals. There is no charge for a re-issue.

Please note: As of Monday March 16, 2009 Technology Services is only accepting certificate requests with a minimum key size of 2048 bits. We are no longer issuing new uiuc.edu certificates, but renewals for uiuc.edu FQDN's will still be processed.

If you have your ticket number and Order ID from your expiration reminder email (e.g., "Internal Office Notes: SSL-XXXX:XXXXX"), please include them in the Notes field.

Only a Certificate Duration of 1 year is available for IGTF Server Certificates.

Domains should be fully qualified and comma separated. Do not include the original certificate FQDN.

Activity code is REQUIRED for certificates purchased by Technology Services employees.
