Faculty Technology Summit
Wednesday, October 5, 2016
Illini Union rooms A, B, &C
If you are a researcher or instructor who wants to know more about leveraging technology in your research or your class, Technology Services invites you to attend the upcoming Faculty Technology Summit to discover what resources are available to you on campus.
On October 5, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., come to the Illini Union to learn about the tools and services that faculty use to support teaching and research at Illinois.
Attendees will be able to see firsthand the technology services that are available to assist them with their research and classroom instruction. Knowledgeable staff members from a variety of services across campus will be present at tables to answer questions about services and offer demonstrations.
In addition, the Research IT team will have a table where you can receive consulting on how to leverage cutting-edge technologies like Amazon Web Services or the Illinois Campus Cluster in your research. Or simply bring your area of study to the Research IT table, and get some ideas on how campus technologies can be put to use to help your work.
This event also features faculty speakers from across the disciplines. Faculty in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), social sciences, and the humanities will showcase projects they have worked on or are currently pursuing.
Each presenter will speak for 15 minutes, with 5 additional minutes reserved for questions.
