Ending Support for McAfee Products on University Computers

If your University computer or device is using McAfee antivirus or encryption software, you need to switch to a new solution by the end of 2016.  Effective January 1, 2017, the University of Illinois will no longer support McAfee antivirus software, full disk encryption software, or the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).

McAfee ePO centrally manages McAfee software in a given environment. It’s the brain that controls all McAfee software installed on University machines, including new releases, updates, and bug fixes.

  Breaking WiFi Records


Over the summer, Technology Services refreshed every wireless access point on campus, installing brand new hardware in order to provide an improved wireless experience on campus. The results of that massive effort have been record breaking, with more devices connecting to our network, better performance, and happier students and faculty.
