Why to use this service |
The campus firewall provides one layer of protection for machines on campus. It is not a complete security solution, but provides a perimeter defense on which machine level security can be layered. The Firewall Service plan offers a limited number of firewall service protection groups to the campus community. There is no cost to participate in the firewall groups. |

How to get this service |
Requests for inclusion in firewall groups should be submitted by network contacts listed in Contacts Database. Follow the instructions on the Service Participation page, and submit the forms from that page to net-trouble@illinois.edu. |

Campus IP space can be defined in the firewalls. 6 IP address groupings per network, utilizing defined firewall groups |

Scheduled maintenance hours |
Maintenance windows are the same as the campus Network. Posted maintenance windows are: 5:30am-7:30am M-F, 5:30am-10:00am Sat, and 5:30-noon Sunday. |

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday |
