This service allows people off campus to securely connect to the campus network, and obtain a campus network connection. This allows peopleĀ to access services that are limited to campus IP space either by campus firewall groups, or other service contracts (like some library services).

How to get this service

Access to the VPN is available to anyone with a campus NetID. VPN clients may be downloaded fromĀ go.illinois.edu/vpndownloads

Mobile clients can be downloaded from the appropriate vendor store and the desktop client can be downloaded at http://go.illinois.edu/vpndownloads.

Quotas and usage restrictions

3 simultaneous connections, 24 hour maximum connection time before user is disconnected and must reconnect

Scheduled maintenance hours

Maintenance windows are the same as the campus Network. Posted maintenance windows are: 5:30am-7:30am M-F, 5:30am-10:00am Sat, and 5:30-noon Sunday

Staffed support hours

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
