Why to use this service |
Walkup computing provides an alternative connectivity option for locations that do have campus wireless service and for devices that cannot access the campus wireless network. Walkup jacks provide a stable and secure connection for areas such as conference rooms, common areas and classrooms. |

How to get this service |
Walkup is available at specified locations to anyone with an Urbana NetID. IT Professionals can request new Walkup locations or service by sending an email to net-trouble@illinois.edu. |
Cost |
The service requires the installation of a network jack in the location being served. The requesting department is charged for the installation of the network jack. No other charges are associated with the service. |
