Why to use this service

The Illinois Wiki provides flexibility in collaboration capabilities but without the expense of IT system administration.
 

Features

The Illinois Wiki enables users to collaborate on content including blogs and comments, sharing of indexed file attachments across pages and users, and sharing and exporting of pages to email, print, Adobe PDF format, text, and HTML.

How to get this service

Access to the Illinois Wiki is available to anyone with an active Urbana NetID, although some sites may be restricted to specific individuals by the space owner.  New Illinois Wiki spaces are requested through the Space Request Form at .

How to use this service

Different groups maintain their own spaces and control access options to the content in those spaces (Pages, Comments, News).  Public spaces can be accessed directly via an internet connection whereas restricted spaces also require Active Directory credentials.

Different groups maintain their own spaces and control access options to the content.  Technology Services does not monitor space content for compliance.  

Hours and support

Standard service hours

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

Scheduled maintenance hours

Monthly OS patching occurs on the third Wednesday from 5:30 a.m. through 7:30 a.m.  Trivial changes are scheduled on weekdays after 5 p.m.  Major changes such as upgrades are scheduled on weekends.

Staffed support hours

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
