Why to use this service

OnSite offers a wide range of services including but not limited to Departmental and home networking assistance, virus removal, OS repair, system upgrades, hardware and software installation, technical support and troubleshooting. This service provides IT support to similar to that provided by the Best Buy Geek Squad to anyone with a valid NetID, but at a fraction of the cost.

OnSite Consulting requests can be submitted by calling 217-333-8628, or emailing onsite@illinois.edu, or completing the webform at https://illinois.edu/fb/auth/6875432.

Cost

The standard service rate is $40/hr, Emergency Service is $80/hr, Departmental Support is $40/hr, and Field Consulting supplemental support $28/hr. Each service call for all levels is a minimum of 1 hour.
