Why to use this service

The CCTV/Security Camera service improves the overall safety of the campus community, provides a method to monitor valuable assets and enhances environmental monitoring. The centralize management of this service provides a consistent and cost effective means of deploying cameras campus wide and eliminates the need for departments to build, manage and support individual systems.

How to get this service

Campus units can request Security Cameras by completing the form


Technology Services provides a turn-key solution with low recurring cost. Campus units typically prefer to fund installation as part of the initial deployment.  Hardware, software, and device license purchases are facilitated by Technology Services, and re-billed to the department.

Recurring costs include a monthly charge for video storage. These charges are: $5/month for general use interior cameras; $10/month for wide-angle interior cameras; $10/month for external cameras. After the first three years, camera device licenses require annual renewal of $40.

Security camera locations are approved by Public Safety. Access to live and recorded video is restricted.

Standard service hours


Scheduled maintenance hours

Maintenance windows are the same as the campus Network. Posted maintenance windows are: 5:30am-7:30am M-F, 5:30am-10:00am Sat, and 5:30-noon Sunday, however all outages require coordination with Public Safety.

Staffed support hours

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
