Virtual Private Networking (VPN) allows students, faculty and staff to securely connect to the campus network from anywhere in the world using their Illinois credentials, and access services and resources usually restricted to people on campus.

How to get the service
Access to the VPN is available to anyone with a campus NetID. VPN clients may be downloaded from go.illinois.edu/vpndownloads

No charge
Usage constraints
Three simultaneous connections, 24 hour maximum connection time before user is disconnected and must reconnect.

Maintenance windows are the same as the campus Network. Posted maintenance windows are: 5:30am-7:30am M-F, 5:30am-10:00am Sat, and 5:30-noon Sunday
