Why to use this service

Campus wireless provides a consistent, campus wide service options to support campus IT mobility.  The use of the service in classrooms provides flexibility to blend online content and instruction with a dynamic classroom environment.  The ubiquitous wireless in classrooms, libraries and conference spaces provides efficient and convenient access to online resources.   


IllinoisNet (WPA2-enterprise), EduRoam, UIUCnet, and UI Public SSID's.

How to get this service

Depending on the location and networks available, wireless services are available to anyone with an Urbana NetID, wireless guest account, or the general public.

Campus IT Professionals can request campus wireless service by submitting a ticket to .

How to use this service

Campus wireless can be accessed by any system supporting standard 802.11 wireless connectivity in locations where campus wireless has been deployed.

Quotas and usage restrictions

Quotas: N/A

Usage Restrictions: IllinoisNet and UIUCnet are available to all campus and guests with credentials. EduRoam is available to users from EduRoam participants. UI Public wireless is available to users that do not have campus credentials.
