One of the most important things that students-both new and returning-need to settle at the start of any semester are the devices and applications they need to succeed. Whether it’s completing the very first assignments, meeting up on Zoom or even signing up for classes in the first place, a student’s entire academic ecosystem depends on having access to a working device. This means that any hiccups, especially during those crucial first few weeks, can feel like a crisis. Luckily, at U of I we have Technology Services to help manage those crises and build solutions for the future. 

Technology Services is a part of the Office of the Chief Information Officer and has several different departments that serve different roles on campus. From developing new software to maintaining cybersecurity to running the Help Desk, everywhere that technology is used on campus, Tech Services has a hand in keeping things running smoothly.
