Cornerstone Performance Pilot Kicks Off

Illinois Human Resources (IHR), in partnership with the Business IT Collaboration, is excited to announce the kickoff of the Cornerstone Performance Pilot at UIUC. This tool will streamline campus’ ability to track employee professional development and allow managers to give meaningful feedback through performance evaluations.

The pilot utilizes the Performance Management module of Cornerstone on Demand, a companion module with a suite of application modules.  One factor in choosing Cornerstone is the ability to leverage the advantages of using the same suite of applications as the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in Cornerstone that will be implemented by System, Illinois, UIC, and UIS Human Resources, as well as Administrative Information Technology Services (AITS). This tool is used to manage the hiring process from posting through applicant identification and selection, with linkage to recruitment sites such as LinkedIn.  Implementation of a common suite of modules will help the campus move toward a common process, reduce the number of distinct systems, and synergize resources.

The Cornerstone Performance Pilot will be led by Deb Stone, Interim Sr. Associate Chancellor for HR and IHR Executive Director of HR Policy and Administration, and Angela Reggans, Assistant Director of Labor and Employee Relations, IHR.

Along with Business Process Owners from each participating unit, the pilot team will work to create a consistent performance reporting and evaluation process. There will be eight units participating in the pilot:

  • Offices of the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor of Advancement
  • Vice Chancellor of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
  • Associate Chancellor of Public Affairs
  • Illinois Human Resources
  • College of Education
  • Grainger College of Engineering
  • University Library

There will be a total of no more than 1000 individuals participating in the pilot. Wishing this team great success.
